In addition to minor bug fixes, this update introduces three new enhancements: Bluetooth Speaker Settings, Audio Line-In improvements, and Chromebook/ Chromebox support.
Enhancements
Bluetooth Speaker Settings
Users can now use the Symphony Classroom Settings screen to connect media devices like phones to the Symphony Classroom to use it as a Bluetooth speaker.
Audio Line-in
Line-in latency has been reduced and an independent volume control enabled. Users may connect 3rd party wireless microphones to the Symphony Classroom 3.5mm Audio-In port for voice amplification use case. Latency in wireless microphone systems vary and may impact user satisfaction. Users of this feature are encouraged to provide feedback through support@merlyn.org.
Chromebook/Chromebox Support (BETA)
Users may now control their Chromebook or Chromebox with the Symphony Classroom remote control unit, including the AirMouse features. The solution requires the Symphony Classroom USB Dongle. Interested BETA users may contact support@merlyn.org to request a dongle for testing.
