Unable to Pair Symphony Classroom with the Merlyn Mind Chrome Browser Extension

Follow the below steps if you are unable to pair the Symphony Classroom with the Merlyn Mind  browser extension, unable to get Merlyn to respond to any voice commands or unable to use the Air Mouse to control your Chrome/Edge browser tabs/presentations.

  1. Please verify that the browser extension is installed and enabled on your computer by navigating to chrome://extensions on your Google Chrome browser or In Microsoft Edge, select Extensions, located to the right of your browser address bar.  
  2. Check with your IT Administrator that your Google/Microsoft account is authorized to use with the Teacher portal/browser extension and the Desktop App.
  3. Ask your IT Administrator to validate if the network SSIDs for the Symphony Classroom and your computer are either the same or are configured for inter-network communication.
  4. Validate that the Google/Microsoft account being used to authenticate on the Teacher portal is the same as that being used for the browser extension and desktop app.  

Restart your browser (you may want to also clear the browser cache) and sign in to the Teacher portal again.

Relaunch the Desktop App and verify that you are signed in and connected to the browser extension successfully.
