What are some examples of devices I can connect to Symphony Classroom?
- Your classroom display (HDMI output port)
- Other devices like laptops, document cameras, microscopes, etc. (HDMI ports on the back)
- Keyboards and mice (USB ports on the back)
How many devices can you connect to Symphony Classroom?
You can connect up to three HDMI devices at once, not including the output device. You can connect a mouse or keyboard to the USB inputs while the HDMI ports are in use.
How do I switch between devices?
Say, “Hey Merlyn, switch display,” or press the Switch Input button on your remote. Select the device you want to switch to from the switch device screen.
How do I share computer screens using a wireless casting receiver like a Chromecast, Apple TV or Screen Beam?
The Symphony Classroom is compatible with most HDMI devices. To use it with a screen casting device, please follow the steps below.
- Pair your computer with the Symphony Classroom.
- Connect your screen casting device to the Symphony Classroom with an HDMI cable. Be sure to note which HDMI port you’ve used.
- Switch to the screen casting device's display by pressing the Switch Input button on the Symphony Classroom remote.
- Follow the casting instructions for your device.

Once your laptop or computer is paired, you can use the voice command "Hey Merlyn, switch to wireless display" to display your laptop or computer's screen on Symphony Classroom.

You will see a screen appear on Symphony Classroom, which you can use to cast your laptop or computer's screen to a TV, panel, or casting device.

Begin casting from laptop to casting device (ex. Screen Share Promethean, Chrome Cast, Apple TV)

You will now see the laptop on the casting display device and can start controlling laptop using Symphony Classroom

You can also use voice commands through Merlyn or the handheld remote to control your laptop or computer. With these tools, you can navigate and control your laptop or computer wirelessly from Symphony Classroom.
