If you use the physical Symphony Classroom device, this is a "hard mute" you can only unmute from this button, you cannot unmute using the remote control.
If you mute using the remote control, you can unmute using the remote.
How do I mute my device’s speakers?
The mute button can be found on either the top of Symphony Classroom or the lower right part of your remote. To unmute, simply press the mute button again.
Can I turn off Merlyn's microphone?
Yes. There is a microphone off button on the Symphony Classroom unit and the remote. When either is pressed, Merlyn will stop listening for the “Hey Merlyn” wake word and stop responding to commands. Additionally, you will see a red light illuminated on the top of the device. You can still talk to Merlyn with the Push-to-talk button on the remote . To turn the unit's microphone back on, simply press the button again.
