The LEDs on my Symphony Classroom remote do not light-up when trying to pair

To Troubleshoot:

Check the batteries

  1. Please check if the safety tab that separates the remote batteries from the electrical contacts has been removed.
  2. If you have previously paired your remote but it seems to be currently not working, then try replacing the existing remote batteries with a new set of AA batteries.
  3. If none of the above works, please try re-pairing your remote with the Symphony Classroom. You can say “Hey Merlyn, pair my remote” and follow the on-screen instructions.

Clear previous pairings by:

  1. Press and hold the bottom 2 buttons of the remote control. Switch Input and Mute Mic. You will see a red flash.  
  2. Try to pair again

Access Android Settings

  1. If it still doesn't work
  2. Connect a mouse to the usb port of the device then access the Android Settings by pressing the volume key on the SC device. You'll see a grey box on the side of the device. 
  3. Click on the settings cog wheel
  4. You'll see the Android sound settings
  5. Click the arrow on the upper left and go back one
  6. You'll see wifi & bluetooth settings
  7. Click on that
  8. Pair the remote via this screen

Clear Bluetooth Settings

Follow steps 1 -6 in the Android Settings above

You'll see reset options. Select reset bluetooth.
